Darcy Sauers, PCD(DONA), CLC is the founder of the My Doula Village, a monthly membership community that helps doulas with the marketing side of being a doula so that they can get more clients. Darcy has been a DONA-certified postpartum doula and lactation counselor for ten years. She lives near the Seacoast of New Hampshire with her husband, three kids, and a turtle. The Doula Darcy is a member of DONA (Doulas of North America) and CAPPA (Childbirth and Postpartum Professional Association).

Darcy’s tips for postpartum support:

  • Show up, do less, and be more.
  • Don’t drain mom’s energy.
  • Be a voice that normalizes postpartum in a society that glamorizes postpartum.
  • Give clients permission to ask those ‘scary’ questions.
  • Have processes to check your baggage at the door and become a better doula! Using the affirmation ‘This is her journey.’ helped Darcy.
